Tech comm professionals learn more about the design of information at our February program meeting.

STC Houston rolled through February and March with some great events and programs.  Here’s a short recap in case you missed out!

In February, the chapter was treated with two great events with STC Fellow, Linda Oestreich. Linda helped us to think outside of the box and keep our creative juices flowing with her “Creativity and Career” workshop. The hands-on workshop proved to be very interesting and inspiring.

Linda Oestreich and the winner of our free workshop raffle, Katherine Kim, talk about keeping it creative at our Saturday workshop on Creativity and Career.

Then, Linda presented our February program meeting, Information Design – Scratching the Surface. The previous link takes you to links from her program.

Joe Welinske of WritersUA got us all to thinking about the mobile world and how our writing needs to change to better fit the small screen with his webinar, An Aggressive Approach to Concise Writing.

If you are interested in getting the recording, you can sign up on Joe’s contact form on his website and mention your chapter affiliation in the comments box. He will send you a passcode to access the webinar.

April looks to be another great month as we travel to the University of Houston Downtown campus on Tuesday, April 14th to learn about degree programs in Technical Communication and several other interesting topics. Come join us and connect with students and professors at the school!
