Sean Brierley will discuss using graphics within technical communication. This presentation discusses screen captures, photographs, Web images, illustrations, and logos. Attendees learn which formats are better for specific types of deliverables. Topics include rasters, vectors, RGB and CMYK, resolution, and popular software. Attendees will come away with real-world knowledge and techniques that they can immediately apply to graphics in their workplace.
About the Speaker
Sean Brierley has been a technical communicator for 20 years, in manufacturing, hardware, software, and telephony. He currently also teaches technical communication and business writing to undergraduates as a professor at Southern Connecticut State University. Sean has previously presented at WinWriters (WritersUA) in Seattle and London, and has presented FrameMaker and Webworks Publisher training for the Connecticut Chapter of STC. He is also a past president of the STC Connecticut Chapter. Sean currently lives in Connecticut with his wife, three soccer-playing children, dog, three cats, and loving Subaru.
