How to Establish a Web Presence in the Writing Community
by Jessica Dickerson, Vice President of Education & Programs
We all have times in our careers when we need to promote ourselves as writers. We might be looking for a new job, advertising our contract writing skills, or promoting a book. At the January program meeting, Louis Hemmi will present valuable information about how to establish a strong Web presence in the writing community. He will go over important aspects of Web marketing for writers, such as establishing your own site, tracking hits from search engines, creating click-through advertisements, listing your book on sites, and much more. A battery of new tools can help you assess the effectiveness of your Web site and your ad campaigns, and get user and traffic-source information that only a couple of years ago was just not possible.
