Our April meeting features a change of scenery, and some great topics of conversation from our colleagues at the University of Houston Downtown.
Join us Tuesday, April 14, at 1099 North (10th floor, Main Building), from 5:30 to 7:30pm for the following discussions:
- An MSTC Program Introduction: The Benefits of Having a Master’s Degree in Technical Communication – Natalia Matveeva, Associate Professor (Professional Writing and Technical Communication, MSTC Graduate Director, English Department)
- Technical Documentation in the Oil & Gas Industry – Jillian Hill, Assistant Professor (Professional Writing and Technical Communication, English Department)
- The Use of Plain Language in Government and Business – Cathy Sampson, MSTC Graduate Student.
The UHD English Department has generously offered to cover our parking and will provide each attendee with a token after the event. Participants will need to park in the Visitor parking lot (V) and use the token to exit the parking lot. The parking map is here.
UPDATE: Linda Oestreich generously offered to share her slides from her informative program she gave us in February, Information Design – Scratching the Surface. Thank you, Linda!
